NOT A WAY TO START OUT THE YEAR
A terrific cold. I must have caught the bug at Frank I Laurie's new years party, because she got it as well. But I just got back into the studio and I am not going to let that stop me. Christmas is hard enough to get work done and I need to get to work now.I was invited to have a piece of my art work in the Lake Oswego Visual Chronicle this year during Art Festival in June. It is an honor to be invited. The only requirement is that it in some way relate to Lake Oswego and or it's people. It is a chellenge to do something that is fresh and exciting. The city usually purchases one of the pieces for there permanent art collection.

BACK TO THE DRAWING PAD

It's so nece to get back into the studio and loosen up the fingers, do a little drawing to get ready to paint. It's always surprising, like any exercize, one needs to practice constantly, or you start to get rusty. So after a dozen drawings I am beginning to feel loosened up a bit. Just thought I would post a couple of them for you to see.Saturday, December 27, 2008

It is like getting an early Christmas present. They have worked very hard to make Park Place Gallery a beautiful place to shop for art. I m honored to be represented by them.

HOME AGAIN-HOME AGAIN.

For an artist who leads a rather solitary life in her studio, this artist was a bit over whelmed by the near 4000 passengers on our cruse ship. And that doesn't count the crew that was at your every call. Good or bad it was an experience to remember. We had a lot of fun, but for us it was just too structured. We like to drift where the winds will take us and see what adventures unfold. But the ship it self was an adventure, and took the entire trip to discover it's many secrets. The time ashore was never enough, but what we did see was wonderful, and we would love to go back on our own and explore further. The colors were spectacular, and I even managed to see a couple of art galleries.
As you might gather from my paintings I love glitz and glamor with a little theater thrown in. There was plenty of that and I had fun playing the part and dressing up in wild outfits. (Hay, I can do that I'm an artist.)
